Disclaimer
The information provided on this website, including but not limited to service descriptions, contractor profiles, and pest control guidance, is presented on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Rhode Island Pest Control makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or availability of the information, products, services, or related graphics contained herein. Your use of this website and any reliance you place on such information is strictly at your own risk. We reserve the right to modify, update, or remove content at any time without prior notice. By accessing and using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms set forth in this disclaimer.
Not a Pest Control Company
Rhode Island Pest Control is not a licensed pest control company and does not employ technicians, applicators, or field personnel to perform pest management services. We do not own or operate pest control equipment, vehicles, or treatment facilities. Instead, we function exclusively as a free referral service that connects homeowners, property managers, and businesses throughout Rhode Island with independent pest control professionals who may be able to address their specific needs. We do not set pricing, schedule appointments, supervise treatments, or guarantee the outcomes of any services rendered. Any contractual agreement for pest control services is formed directly between you and the service provider, not with Rhode Island Pest Control.
Independent Contractors
All pest control professionals referred through our service are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Rhode Island Pest Control. We do not control, direct, or supervise the manner, means, or methods by which these contractors perform their work. Each independent contractor maintains their own licensing, insurance coverage, bonding, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including those enforced by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and the Structural Pest Control Commission. We encourage all users to verify a contractor's credentials, including their current pesticide applicator license number, general liability insurance, and workers' compensation coverage, before engaging their services.
No Endorsement or Liability
The inclusion of any contractor in our referral network does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or certification of that contractor's quality, competence, or business practices. Rhode Island Pest Control does not screen contractors beyond basic operational verification and does not conduct background checks, reference investigations, or performance evaluations. We expressly disclaim all liability for any damages, losses, injuries, or disputes arising from or related to the services provided by referred contractors, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, ineffective treatments, chemical exposure, or contractual disagreements. This limitation of liability applies regardless of whether the claim is based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and shall extend to our officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and successors.
Verification Responsibility
Homeowners and property owners bear the sole and exclusive responsibility for verifying the qualifications, credentials, reputation, and suitability of any pest control contractor before hiring them. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, confirming active licensure status with Rhode Island regulatory authorities, requesting and reviewing certificates of insurance, checking references from prior clients, obtaining written estimates and service agreements, and understanding the scope, limitations, and warranties of proposed treatments. Rhode Island Pest Control assumes no duty to investigate or validate contractor credentials beyond the initial network enrollment process. Failure to conduct due diligence on your part does not create any liability or obligation on our part.
Informational Purposes
All content published on this website, including articles, blog posts, pest identification guides, treatment explanations, and prevention tips, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to constitute professional pest control advice, entomological consultation, or a substitute for assessment by a qualified, licensed pest management professional. Pest infestations vary significantly in species identification, severity, structural implications, and appropriate response protocols. What may be accurate guidance for one situation may be entirely inappropriate or insufficient for another. We make no claims regarding the effectiveness of any treatment methodology described herein, and we strongly recommend that you consult directly with a licensed professional for diagnosis and tailored recommendations specific to your circumstances.
Emergency Situations
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, severe allergic reaction, or any life-threatening situation potentially related to pest exposure, pesticide application, or wildlife encounter, immediately call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency medical facility. Do not rely on this website or any referred contractor for emergency medical guidance or intervention. For urgent pest-related concerns that do not rise to the level of a medical emergency but require prompt professional attention, please contact us at (888) 239-7622. Our referral specialists are available to assist you in connecting with available contractors; however, response times, availability, and scheduling remain at the discretion of individual service providers, and we cannot guarantee same-day or immediate service deployment.
